Sa-Ngiam Yarangsee is a one-of-a-kind artist who received at his education at the Art College in Bangkok and the Fine Arts Department at Chiang Mai University, majoring in Painting.

Born in the Northern-Thai province of Chiang Rai, which is blessed with beautiful landscapes and vegetation virtually all year round, Sa-Ngiam has always been drawn to nature. Hence, the focus of his paintings has since early on been on landscapes of all sorts. He tries to avoid the crowdedness of cities as much as possible and has chosen one of Thailand’s most remote and beautiful places to live and work in - Mae Salong in Chiang Rai province. Inspired by the tranquility and beauty of this town, where ethnic Chinese, Thais and a variety of hill tribe peoples live peacefully together, he creates landscape paintings that are impressionist in style and sometimes bear a similarity to Monet. When not in Mae Salong, Sa-Ngiam likes to travel throughout Thailand and other countries, where he takes up his painting equipment whenever he spots an inspiring natural setting. One of his latest trips took him to Nepal where he was provided plenty of opportunities to come up with some astonishing pieces of artwork of the local mountain scenery.

サ・ガームヤランシーはバンコクの芸術大学とチェンマイ大学の美術学部で絵画を専攻し教育を受けたユニークなアーティストです。

彼は北タイのチェンマイ県で生まれ、そこは一年中美しい景色と植物に恵まれており、サ・ガームはいつも自然を描いていました。それゆえ彼の絵の焦点は早くからあらゆる種類の景色上にありました。彼はできるだけ都市の混雑を避けて住み活動できる場所にタイで最も辺鄙で美しいチェンライのメーサロンを選びました。この華僑やタイ人、またいろいろな山岳部族民族が共に平和に生きるこの町の静けさと美しさに影響を受けて、彼は印象派で、ときにモネに類似性を持った風景画を作成します。メーサロンにいない時彼はタイや諸外国を旅します。そうして彼は感動するような自然の景色を見つけたときはいつでも彼の絵の道具を持ち出します。彼の最近の旅行のひとつにネパールがあります。そこで彼は驚くべきいくつかのローカルな山岳風景の作品を作り出す多くの機会を与えられました。
